The Creative Technology Class with AI and Microsoft Office was a dynamic and forward-thinking short course conducted at Maahad Tahfiz Al-Alawiyah, Paya Pulai, Segamat—an Islamic educational institution committed to nurturing balanced students who excel in both religious knowledge and modern skills. This programme reflected the Maahad’s vision of preparing young learners to confidently face the challenges of the digital age while upholding strong values.
Held every Wednesday starting 16 June 2025, the class brought together students aged 15 to 17 years old in an engaging learning environment where creativity met technology. Throughout the course, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, ethical responsibilities in using AI, and effective basic prompting for text, images, video, and music.
Using tools such as Gemini AI, ChatGPT, Leonardo AI, Kling AI, Houlio AI, Suno AI, Canva, and Microsoft Office, students explored how different AI systems relate to one another and how they can be used together effectively. The highlight of the programme was empowering students to produce creative outputs—from AI-generated images and music to a fully AI-created music video, alongside practical graphic design and productivity skills enhanced by AI.
Overall, this course successfully broadened students’ digital horizons, strengthened their creative confidence, and laid a strong foundation for responsible and purposeful use of AI in their future learning journeys.
